CEFR-aligned
English
For learners working through CEFR A1 to C1. Reading, listening, and speaking practice built around contemporary texts.
What’s coming
English is the third course on the Bookverse roadmap. It’s planned for learners working through CEFR levels A1 to C1 — basic to advanced proficiency.
Alignment
The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is the dominant scale for European language proficiency, with six levels from A1 to C2. English exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge English publish official CEFR mappings.
Bookverse’s English course will build structured books across the A1 to C1 range — covering survival English up through fluent professional and academic use. C2 is intentionally further out: at that level, learners benefit more from immersion than from structured course material.
What you’ll work on
The Bookverse loop, applied to English:
- Reading — structured texts with vocabulary and grammar notes built into the chapter.
- Listening — varied accents (UK, US, AU) and pace.
- Speaking — record yourself, get pronunciation feedback.
- Spaced-repetition study — vocabulary and grammar reinforcement on the same loop as the other courses.
When
English follows Korean. The order is intentional — finish each course properly before starting the next. The Bookverse architecture is language-agnostic, so once Korean is shipped, English is mostly content authoring.
