Oi! Hi!
Your first words in Portuguese — and the sound that defines the language: NASAL vowels. In não, mãe and irmão, the air comes out through the nose; English has nothing like it, so we start training right away. There are also two easy digraphs: nh (like "ny" in "canyon") and lh (like "lli" in "million"). For now, just greetings: oi and olá, bom dia, boa tarde, boa noite, and the everyday sim / não. Brazilian Portuguese.
