- 面试官 你是不是新从大学毕业的? Are you a new graduate?
- 周月 是, 我今年刚毕业, 简历上写了我的学历. Yes, I just graduated this year — my education is on the résumé.
- 面试官 你是不是没有工作经验? Do you not have work experience?
- 周月 一方面我没有正式经验, 另一方面我学得很认真. On one hand I have no formal experience, on the other I study very seriously.

是这家还是那家? — This company or that?
- 面试官 你想做老师还是想做工程师? Do you want to be a teacher or an engineer?
- 周月 我是很想做老师, 我觉得最合适我. I really do want to teach — I think it suits me best.
- 面试官 你是想去大城市还是小城市? Big city or small city?
- 周月 我想去小城市. 那里的学校更需要老师. A small city. Schools there need teachers more.
- 面试官 你的回答清楚. 工资你希望多少? Clear answer. What salary do you hope for?
- 周月 我希望工资合适就好. I just hope it's a fair salary.

从两个方面说同一件事: 一方面 X, 另一方面 Y. 两个方面可以是并列, 也可以一好一坏. 面试时常用来全面介绍自己: 一方面我有经验, 另一方面我很努力. 比简单的"也…也…"更正式、更有条理.
Discuss one thing from two angles: 一方面 X, 另一方面 Y. The two sides can be parallel, or one good / one bad. Useful in interviews to present yourself fully: 一方面我有经验, 另一方面我很努力. More formal and organised than a plain 也…也….
- 一方面我有经验, 另一方面我很努力. Yì fāngmiàn wǒ yǒu jīngyàn, lìng yì fāngmiàn wǒ hěn nǔlì. On one hand I have experience, on the other I work hard.
- 这个工作一方面忙, 另一方面也有意思. Zhè ge gōngzuò yì fāngmiàn máng, lìng yì fāngmiàn yě yǒu yìsi. This job is busy on one hand, but interesting on the other.
- 一方面要学习, 另一方面要休息. Yì fāngmiàn yào xuéxí, lìng yì fāngmiàn yào xiūxi. On one hand you must study, on the other you must rest.
- 一方面工资好, 另一方面离家近. Yì fāngmiàn gōngzī hǎo, lìng yì fāngmiàn lí jiā jìn. On one hand the pay is good, on the other it's close to home.

上一课 (grammar-01) 从两方面说. 本课复习 ch10 的"是"强调: 在形容词 / 动词前加重读的"是", 表示"确实 / 真的". 面试时表态: 我是很想做这份工作 (= 确实很想). 这家公司是不错. 这个"是"不带"的", 只加强语气, 用来肯定地回应.
Grammar-01 was two angles. This revisits ch10's emphatic 是: a stressed 是 before an adjective/verb means "indeed / really". In an interview: 我是很想做这份工作 (= I really do want it). 这家公司是不错. This 是 takes no 的; it just strengthens the tone to affirm.
- 我是很想做这个工作. Wǒ shì hěn xiǎng zuò zhè ge gōngzuò. I really do want this job.
- 这家公司是不错. Zhè jiā gōngsī shì búcuò. This company really is good.
- 他是很努力. Tā shì hěn nǔlì. He really is hard-working.
- 这份工作是适合我. Zhè fèn gōngzuò shì shìhé wǒ. This job really does suit me.
