Nhà vệ sinh ở đâu? Where's the toilet?
ở = "to be located at"; đâu = "where", and it stays at the END of the sentence. Ask "Nhà vệ sinh ở đâu?" Answer with location words: ở đây, ở đó, ở kia, or ở + trên/dưới/trong + noun. Don't drop "ở": "Con mèo ở trên bàn." New words: đâu, ở đây, ở đó, ở kia, nhà vệ sinh, trên, dưới, trong, gần, xa. Tone corner: location phrases; the tones of ở đâu, trên / dưới / trong.

ở + đâu (vị trí) ở + đâu (location)
ở nghĩa là "ở tại / nằm ở" — nó vừa là động từ vừa là giới từ chỉ vị trí. Để hỏi "ở đâu" (where), đặt đâu ở CUỐI câu, ngay sau ở: DANH TỪ + ở + đâu? → "Nhà vệ sinh ở đâu?" Đừng đưa đâu ra đầu câu. Trả lời: ở đây / ở đó / ở kia, hoặc ở + trên/dưới/trong + danh từ: "Con mèo ở trên bàn." (Con mèo nằm trên bàn.) Nhớ giữ "ở" trong câu trả lời — đừng nói "Con mèo trên bàn".
