ครอบครัวมีกี่คน How many in your family?
"mii" = to have / there is. Ask a quantity with "kìi" + a classifier (kìi khon = how many people): Khrɔ̂ɔpkhrua mii kìi khon. Answer with a number + khon. New words: family, father, mother, child, many/several, all, with/and. Reading corner: the complex vowels เ–ือ, –ัว, เ–า in family words.

มี + กี่ (มีและการนับ) มี + กี่ (having & counting)
"มี" แปลว่า "to have" หรือ "there is/are": ผมมีพี่ (I have an older sibling). ถามจำนวนด้วย "กี่" ตามด้วยลักษณนาม — นับคนใช้ "คน": ครอบครัวมีกี่คน (How many people in the family?). ตอบด้วยจำนวน + ลักษณนาม: สองคน, สามคน. สังเกตลำดับ: นาม + จำนวน + ลักษณนาม เช่น "พี่สองคน" (two older siblings).
