¡Hola! Hello!
Your first words in Spanish — and the few sounds an English speaker must learn. Spanish reads almost exactly as it is written: five pure vowels, always the same. Only a handful of letters surprise you: ñ, ll, j (the jota), the rolled rr, and the peninsular c/z. We start with greetings by time of day (buenos días, buenas tardes, buenas noches) and the everyday sí / no / vale.
Dialogue

Dialogue
Buenas noches — Good night
- Lucía Buenas noches, Carlos. Good night, Carlos.
- Carlos Buenas noches. ¿Adiós? Good night. Bye?
- Lucía Sí. ¡Adiós! Yes. Bye!
