写简历 Writing a résumé

- 周月 找工作要发邮件给公司, 我开始写简历, 学历的部分先写. Job hunting means emailing companies, so I'm starting the CV — the education part first.
- 周月 我从大学毕业了. 专业是中文. Graduated from university. Major in Chinese.
- 同学 你的英文怎么样? How's your English?
- 周月 我学过英文五年, 也学过一点别的. I've studied English five years and a bit of other languages.
- 同学 你做过什么工作? What work have you done?
- 周月 我做过两个工作, 帮过老师改作业. I've done two jobs and helped a teacher mark homework.

- 周月 我从来没有过正式工作. I've never had a full-time job.
- 同学 没关系. 学校的能力也算经验. It's fine. School skills count as experience too.
- 周月 我从来没写过简历, 不知道怎么写. I've never written a CV — don't know how.
- 同学 把你做过的事都写一下: 学过的课, 做过的工作. Write everything you've done — courses, jobs.
- 周月 这么多事, 我一天写不完, 英文的更写不好. So much to put down — I can't finish in a day, and the English one I can't write well.

可能补语: V + 得 / 不 + 结果 (三48) Potential complement: V + 得/不 + result (三48)
在动词和结果 / 方向补语中间加 得 / 不, 表示"能 / 不能做到". 听得懂 / 听不懂; 做得完 / 做不完; 去得了 / 去不了. 这件工作我做得了 (有能力做) / 做不了 (做不到). 和"能 + V"意思接近, 但可能补语更强调"结果能不能实现".
Insert 得 / 不 between a verb and its result/directional complement to mean "can / cannot achieve it". 听得懂 / 听不懂; 做得完 / 做不完; 去得了 / 去不了. 这件工作我做得了 (am able) / 做不了 (cannot). Close to 能 + V, but the potential complement stresses whether the RESULT can be reached.
- 这个工作我做得了. Zhè ge gōngzuò wǒ zuò de liǎo. I can do this job.
- 老师的话我都听得懂. Lǎoshī de huà wǒ dōu tīng de dǒng. I can understand everything the teacher says.
- 这么多事, 今天做不完. Zhème duō shì, jīntiān zuò bu wán. So many things — can't finish today.

上一课 (grammar-01) 讲可能补语. 本课复习并加深 ch10 的句法点: 用"的"把一个动作变成定语. 写简历时特别有用: 我做过的工作 / 我学过的东西 / 我去过的公司. 结构: (主语 +) 动词短语 + 的 + 名词. 让一句话装下"做过 / 学过"的经历.
Grammar-01 was potential complements. This revisits and deepens ch10's point: 的 turns an action into an attributive. Especially useful for résumés: 我做过的工作 (the jobs I've done) / 我学过的东西 / 我去过的公司. Structure: (subject +) verb-phrase + 的 + noun — packing "have done / have studied" experience into one phrase.
- 这是我做过的工作. Zhè shì wǒ zuò guo de gōngzuò. This is the work I've done.
- 我写了学过的课. Wǒ xiě le xué guo de kè. I wrote down the courses I've taken.
- 这是我去过的公司. Zhè shì wǒ qù guo de gōngsī. This is a company I've been to.
- 他说了自己做过的事. Tā shuō le zìjǐ zuò guo de shì. He talked about the things he's done.
