Mi rutina My routine
The daily routine with reflexive verbs. A reflexive verb takes a pronoun that "returns" to the subject: me levanto (I get up), te levantas, se levanta. The pronoun (me/te/se) goes BEFORE the verb: Me ducho por la mañana. Parts of the day: la mañana, la tarde, la noche. And the regular -ar verbs: trabajar, escuchar, descansar. New vocabulary: levantarse, ducharse, mañana, tarde, noche, mes, año, escuchar, trabajar, descansar, siempre. Pronunciation corner: the reflexive verbs and the -o/-as/-a endings.

Muchas acciones de la rutina son reflexivas: la acción "vuelve" al sujeto (uno se levanta a sí mismo). El infinitivo termina en -se: levantarse, ducharse, llamarse. Al conjugar, el -se se cambia por un pronombre que va DELANTE del verbo: (yo) me levanto, (tú) te levantas, (él/ella) se levanta, (nosotros) nos levantamos, (ellos) se levantan. El error del inglés es olvidar el pronombre: "levanto a las siete" → "me levanto a las siete".
