My day O meu dia

A tua rotina diária, com o presente simples. Para os hábitos usa o verbo base: I get up, you work, we study. MAS para he / she / it tens de acrescentar -s: he gets up, she works, it sleeps. Este -s de terceira pessoa esquece-se facilmente. Para negativas e perguntas usa do / does: I don't sleep, Does she work? Palavras novas: get up, go, eat, drink, work, study, sleep, always, yesterday. Canto da pronúncia: o -s de terceira pessoa (três sons: /s/, /z/, /ɪz/) e a ligação de "get up".

  2. Minsu My brother get up at six. O meu irmão levanta-se às seis. (deslize: he/she precisa de -s — "gets up")

Present simple: he / she + -s Presente simples: he / she + -s

For daily habits, English uses the present simple. With I / you / we / they you use the base verb: I get up, they work, we study. BUT with he / she / it you MUST add -s: he gets up, she works, it sleeps. Forgetting this -s is the most common mistake for many learners. For negatives and questions, use do (I/you/we/they) or does (he/she/it), and the main verb goes back to the base: I don't sleep in the afternoon, Does she work on Monday? (not "Does she works"). Note irregular: go → goes.
