No restaurante At the restaurant
Meals and ordering at a restaurant. Here the regular -er/-ir verbs appear: comer (eu como, você come) and beber (eu bebo, você bebe) — conjugated like the -ar ones but with "e" in the endings. To order you use "querer" (eu quero, você quer): Eu quero o cardápio. The meals: café da manhã (breakfast), almoço (lunch), jantar (dinner). New vocabulary: comida, café da manhã, almoço, jantar, comer, beber, restaurante, garçom, cardápio, conta. Pronunciation corner: the strong initial "r" of "restaurante" and the -er/-ir endings.
