Minha rotina My routine
The daily routine with reflexive verbs. A reflexive verb takes a pronoun that "returns" to the subject: eu me levanto, você se levanta. In Brazil the pronoun comes BEFORE the verb: Eu me levanto de manhã. The parts of the day: de manhã, à tarde, à noite. And the regular -ar verbs: trabalhar, estudar, descansar, acordar. New vocabulary: acordar, levantar-se, tomar banho, trabalhar, estudar, descansar, sempre, ontem. Pronunciation corner: the "lh" of "trabalho" and the -o/-a endings.

Os verbos reflexivos Reflexive verbs
Muitas ações da rotina são reflexivas: a ação "volta" ao sujeito (a pessoa levanta a si mesma). O infinitivo termina em "-se": levantar-se. Ao conjugar, o "-se" vira um pronome (me/se) que, no Brasil, vem ANTES do verbo: eu me levanto, você se levanta, ele se levanta. O erro do inglês é esquecer o pronome: "levanto às sete" → "me levanto às sete". Os verbos regulares em -ar (não reflexivos) conjugam-se sem pronome: trabalho, estuda, descansa. Para a hora do dia: de manhã / à tarde / à noite.
