Das ist meine Familie This is my family
The possessive articles mein/dein/sein/ihr and the demonstrative dieser. They take the same endings as ein: mein Vater (m), meine Mutter (f), mein Kind (n), meine Eltern (pl). Note: the noun's gender decides the ending, not the owner. New vocabulary: family, father, mother, child, big, small. Pronunciation corner: the long ie in Familie and the German vowels.

Possessivartikel + dieser Possessive articles + dieser
Die Possessivartikel mein, dein, sein (his), ihr (her) bekommen dieselben Endungen wie ein. Beim maskulinen und neutralen Nomen: kein Zusatz — mein Vater, mein Kind. Beim femininen Nomen und im Plural: -e — meine Mutter, meine Eltern. Wichtig: die Endung richtet sich nach dem GESCHLECHT des Nomens, nicht nach dem Besitzer (anders als Englisch his/her). Der Demonstrativartikel dieser/diese/dieses folgt derselben Logik: dieser Vater, diese Familie, dieses Kind.
